Cruiser Series Completed: New Cruiser 50 by Farr

With the imminent launch of the new Cruiser 50, the sixth yacht designed by Farr Yacht Design and BMW Group Designworks USA, the renovation of the Bavaria Cruiser Series will be completed. The official debut is scheduled for January 2011 during the "boot"  in Düsseldorf/Germany. Like her sister ships the new 50 features elegant lines and many interesting details. On the deck the cockpit design and the lowerable transom that converts into a giant swimming platform deserve special mention. The modern interiors impress with an abundance of space, light and air. The yacht will be introduced as a five cabin version with a layout of four double cabins soon to follow.

Boatshow "Hanseboot 2010" in Hamburg

From 30th of October to the 7th of November the boatshow "Hanseboot" in Hamburg/Germany will be open for its 51st edition. Lothar Kloss will represent Bavaria Spain on the stand of the shipyard. The following yachts will be exhibited in Hamburg: Bavaria Cruiser 32, the brand new models Cruiser 36 and 40 (presented only weeks ago) and the Cruiser 45 (nominated for the "European Yacht of the Year Award"). Motor boat fans will find the Sport 28, Sport 34 as well as both versions of the 38 (open and with hardtop). Welcome to Hamburg!

New model for the "middle class" of Bavaria Motor Yachts: The German boat show "Interboot 2010" in Friedrichshafen (Lake Constance, 18th to 26th of september) will see the launch of the new Sport 34, successor of the Sport 33. The new yacht will be the third model in the sport series (after the 28 and 38) designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA. It convinces with a modern, yet comfortable design and a dynamic, sporty performance at a very fair price. Available with two gasoline and three diesel configurations, all with z-drive. ... further information

Cruiser 45 nominated for the award "European Yacht of the Year"

The Bavaria Cruiser 45 is among the finalists for the "European Yacht of the Year Award 2010/11" in the category of "family cruisers". Thus - and just as the Cruiser 32 a year before - the Cruiser 45 is considered one of the most promising new sailing yachts of the year.  

This prestigious award is granted by Europe's leading nautical magazines, such as the English "Yachting World", Spanish "Yate" or German "Yacht". All finalists will undergo a close check-up and extensive sea-trial by the jury in the course of this year. The winners will be proclaimed in January 2011 during the boatshow "boot" en Düsseldorf/Germany.

The nomination coincided with the victory of the Bavaria Cruiser 45 "Progress" in the race "Ronde om Noord Holland" (Netherlands), a long distance regatta of 120 miles. Although the yacht that was rigged and delivered to its new owner only a day before the race it triumphed in its category and also succeeded in the general classification (compensated time).
